The Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death

Through the 1940s and 1950s, Frances Glessner Lee hosted a series of semi-annual seminars in homicide investigations at Harvard University. Using intricately constructed dioramas of actual crime scenes, complete with working doors, windows and lights, Frances taught detectives, prosecutors, and other investigators to solve real crimes with the “Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death.”

I have over 30 famous-name dollhouse shopping bags in stock. These 1:12 scale bags have handles and removable tissue paper peeking out the top. Most measure 1” x 1,25”; some, like Tiffany bags, are slightly smaller, in keeping with sizes in the real world. You can buy individual bags, or mix and match in any quantity.

Miniature White House

Using the word “miniature” to describe enormous dollhouses has always seemed weird to me. That’s especially true with the 1/12the scale replica of the White House. This colossus is 60 feet long and 20 feet wide. It weighs 10 tons and goes on tour in a big rig. John Zweigel’s obsessions truly stretches the universe of “tiny things.”

‘Thomas Chippendale’ Dolls House

Thomas Chippendale was born in Yorkshire early in 1718. His family had long been in the woodworking trades and he probably received his basic training from his father. When his apprenticeship was completed, he moved to London and worked as a journeyman cabinet maker.
