It’s easier than you think. A theme can be anything you want it to be: a collection of beer mugs, shades of the same color, a hobby or sport. The construction on the right has a classical music theme, The “box” is actually a 4″ deep tray that held type in a print shop. Pictures, books and miniature musical instruments are set in the spaces formerly used to hold various sizes of lead type. How many composers do you recognize?
