Ken Haseltine In Two Worlds
Ken Haseltine is well known for his 1/6 scale work, suitable for the Barbie world. I haven’t been able to find much in the way of biographic information on Ken’s work in this world, so I’m making the assumption that Barbi is where the money is. But Ken works in the 1:12 scale world too. Take some time to enjoy some of these works.

The Green Room Revisited
Here’s what Ken has to say about this work:s
“A few years ago I was lucky enough to visit The Palacio Real de Madrid in Spain. I was fascinated by how they would pick one fabric and use it to cover almost every surface in the room, the furniture, the drapes, tablecloths even the wall coverings were all the same Damask fabric, same color, but in varying size prints. You could not help but notice how this took these massive over the top rooms and made them feel comfortable or calm in a way, hope that makes sense”.
Death for a Grand Dame / After The Blitz
Please read the full description of this piece, and how Ken felt about it when finished.
“Between 7 September 1940 and May 1941, during the Second World War, the city of London was bombed by the Luftwaffe for 76 consecutive nights and many towns and cities across the country followed. More than one million London houses were destroyed or damaged, and more than 40,000 civilians were killed, half of them in London.“
Movie Palace
Here’s Ken’s comment about the Movie Palace room box. The photograph was taken on January 28, 2014:
“It’s going to take another week to finish the upholstery, but I was curious to see how they would look in place. Well worth the efforts I think.”
