Two lucky little girls received this dolls’ house as a gift from their father, a London stockbroker, during the 1840s. There was a great fashion for dolls’ houses at this time, but even by the standards of its day, it would have been an impressive piece. The Large Dollhouse

The Large Dollhouse is a replica of the 1847 Greek Revival home owned by New Jersey State Senator George H. Large. It is located at 117 Main Street in Flemington, N.J. His granddaughter, Josephine Large Talbott, commissioned John and Linda Kubish of Goliath Miniatures to build it.

Killer Cabinet – A True Story

This gorgeous cabinet dollhouse belonged to John Egerton Killer, of Manchester. He wanted to amuse the many ladies in his family by providing them with a baby house. Cabinet dollhouses were popular in the 1830s, so he ordered a copy of a favorite cabinet in his office. Guess his profession. John Egerton Killer was a surgeon!
